While searching for pocket-friendly golf carts, I came across Evolution carts with many advanced features of more popular brands like Yamaha or E-Z-GO. After going through the Evolution Classic 4 Pro, I decided to give it a try. Here’s what I found:
Overall, I like the cart for its design and features, but there are definitely better ones.

My Experience with the Evolution Classic 4 Pro
From the very first look at the car, I was impressed at the different color options and smooth powdered finish of the cart.
Despite heavy usage, the surface didn’t scratch, crack, or dent. All the seats were spacious, and I loved the added small spaces for all my food items and golf accessories.
The cart takes only 5 seconds to reach a maximum speed of 20 mph. While the touchscreen and connectivity features work fine, I didn’t like the stereo system and had some replacements done.

Now, let’s get into more detail and rate the different aspects of the cart.
Construction and Looks (A+)
From the get-go, I liked the combination of injection-molded, powder-coated body construction. The frame is made of steel while the cart also features plastic body panels. Altogether, the rugged construction makes it resistant to corrosion, impact, and weather damage.
As mentioned, you can customize the cart in numerous different colors including navy blue, red, lime, and candy apple. What makes it better is the matching two-toned seats, cupholder inserts, and wheel trims.
Motor and Suspension (A)
With a 48V motor generating 4KW power, the Classic 4 Pro is pretty powerful and fast. Although 20 mph is a good maximum speed for the price, I prefer a faster cart reaching 25 mph max.
The independent suspension with its four arms absorbs impact on regular terrains. It also has a four-wheel hydraulic disc brake system for safe stopping.
Advanced Features (A)
To keep up with the big names, Evolution has infused all the possible modern features including a touchscreen display and Bluetooth connectivity. You can easily detect any issues with the cart from the warning signals on the screen.
Bluetooth calling was moderately clear from both sides. However, the speakers sometimes deliver distorted sound, and the stereo has some amplifying issues too. Another drawback is the side mirror that can’t be adjusted vertically.
Comfort and Versatility (A)
Thanks to the wide seats, Interior lighting, and additional accessory compartments, the cart is extremely comfortable. However, it often wobbles and vibrates when I drive on particularly rough terrains.
Although the rear seats are foldable, the hook that keeps the folded seats in place isn’t that strong. Thankfully, the cart is versatile and flexible, so you can accommodate aftermarket components to make things more convenient.
